Helen was the Core Researcher of Family Lives and the Environment project. Helen's interests lie in the areas of gender and health, health inequalities, social support and health and evidence-based decision-making in social policy. Her research projects include: Evaluation of Social Work Practices, Women's experiences of childbirth: continuities and discontinuities in social and medical aspects of first childbirth, Looking back on becoming a mother.
